The SEL-3790 is a three-phase resistive voltage divider for use as a low-power voltage transformer (LPVT) in low-voltage systems. This compact device takes in voltages between 120 Vac and 480 Vac and has a transformation ratio of 60:1, producing an output voltage suitable for SEL relays with low-power voltage inputs. It accepts inputs directly from a low-voltage distribution system or from a PT secondary. A conformal coating on the module’s circuit board provides extra protection against adverse environments.
Compact Size—The SEL-3790 is an ideal choice for switchgear and other applications where space is limited. Its compact dimensions, light weight, and DIN-rail mounts make it easy to apply as a replacement device in existing installations.
Versatile Use Cases—Use the SEL-3790 with any SEL relay that supports low-energy analog (LEA) inputs, including our recently enhanced SEL-700 series devices. The module is compatible with relays that accept RJ45 or ring terminal connectors and can be connected to a PT secondary or directly to a 120–480 Vac voltage source.
Improved Safety and Reliability—The reduced output voltage improves safety for personnel who work with equipment on site. The SEL-3790 can also reduce the potential for equipment damage by isolating relays from the system voltage.
