Accurate Time Synchronization—Synchronize relays, phasor measurement units, Sequential Events Recorders, information processors, and other devices by using a GPS time source and IRIG-B outputs. The SEL-2407 Satellite-Synchronized Clock provides ±100 ns average timing accuracy (±500 ns peak) for IEEE C37.118 control function extensions for synchrophasors as well as event correlation and reporting.
Reliable Operation—Install in harsh substation environments. IEEE C37.90 and IEC 60255 design standards ensure accurate timing over a temperature range of –40° to +80°C (–40° to +176°F) and in the presence of electrical surges and power supply variations.

SEL Releases New SEL-9524 GNSS Antenna
SEL is now offering a new antenna, as both an ordering option, and as an accessory for SEL satellite-synchronized clocks. The SEL-9524 is a ruggedized GNSS antenna manufactured in our Pullman, Washington, facility. It includes a dual-constellation GPS/GLONASS option or a GPS-only option. The antenna operates using 3.5–6 V and includes an LED for diagnostic information. It has a strong gain of greater than 40 dB.
SEL recommends pairing the SEL-2407 and SEL-2404 with the SEL-9524A GPS GNSS Antenna. The SEL-9524B GPS/GLONASS GNSS Antenna is to be used with the SEL-2488. The legacy 235-0113 and 235-0103 Bullet Antennas are still available in limited quantities.
