SEL designs, manufactures, tests, and delivers custom protection, control, and metering panels as well as control cabinets and retrofit doors, all built to match your specifications and needs. Our panel factory technicians take pride in high-quality cable management practices, with wires clearly labeled and neatly routed to ease installation and future maintenance. Prewired solutions ease installation and minimize field wiring, while custom adapters and wiring conversion assemblies simplify integration of SEL equipment into your existing systems. Custom enclosure solutions are built to stringent SEL quality standards. SEL tests the final implementation of every manufactured system before shipping, reducing overall project costs and engineering time. This testing contributes to easier and faster commissioning. Our in-house panel factory simplifies assembly and shipping, and it enables seamless response to design changes on in-process projects.

All SEL equipment serial numbers, configurations, and accessories are nested under a parent serial number for full traceability. We can design and build single or multiple units, making projects economical at any scale. Single-part-number assemblies—including spares and uninstalled components—make orders, repeats, and approvals simple.

Engineering Services

SEL provides complete solutions to meet the needs of transmission and distribution applications for utilities and industrial customers. SEL Job Done solutions include all communications, automation, protection, and control equipment for new installations or retrofit applications. Every solution is thoroughly tested through factory acceptance tests (FATs), which include continuity or operational testing, as well as logic settings validation, complete functional testing, and system integration testing on request. SEL factory-trained and industry-experienced engineers deliver complete solutions and perform onsite setup and commissioning, from installation and wiring to site acceptance testing (SAT).
