Automate SDN Configuration With RTAC and IEC 61850 Files

Date held: Wednesday, January 25, 2023
Duration: 1 hour

The SEL-5056 Software-Defined Network Flow Controller optimizes software-defined networking (SDN) network configuration and management for critical infrastructure.

Join us in a recorded webinar to learn about the File Import application recently added to SEL-5056 version 2.12. This application allows you to upload an IEC 61850 Substation Configuration Description (SCD) or Real-Time Automatic Controller (RTAC) Project Connection Report file quickly and automate the creation of all required communications circuits between devices.

Additionally, we introduce the new SEL-2741 Ethernet Switch. The SEL-2741 is a 24-port switch with every port capable of gigabit speeds.

Webinar viewers will learn:

  • How to import an SCD file using the SEL-5056 File Import application. This allows you to:
    • Add devices to the network that are not yet present.
    • Automate the network configuration to allow devices to send/receive the GOOSE and Sampled Values messages required.
    • Configure a test set device to send/receive any GOOSE or Sampled Values messages.
  • How to download the RTAC Project Connection Report file and import to SEL-5056 using File Import. This allows you to:
    • Add devices to the network that are not yet present.
    • Automate the network configuration to allow the RTAC to send the messages in the project file.
  • About the all-new SEL-2741, which comes with:
    • 24 ports with both copper and SFP options.
    • Capability for full gigabit speed on every port.
