Webinar: Detecting and Locating a Broken Conductor Before It Converts Into a Fault

Join our webinar on August 24, 2022, to learn about broken conductor detection on transmission and subtransmission lines. We will discuss a new protection algorithm developed for the SEL-411L Advanced Line Differential Protection, Automation, and Control System. The algorithm quickly detects broken conductors before they hit the ground, prevents shunt faults by tripping the line, adaptively blocks autoreclosing onto a permanent fault, and estimates a broken conductor’s location for quick resolution. You will also learn about field events and simulations that validate the algorithm. For more information and to register, visit the webinar webpage.
