CRD Fault Indicators are used for fault location on overhead power distribution systems. CRDs are powered by load current. They indicate a faulted line condition by showing a large red reflective target display. CRDs automatically reset upon restoration of load current that meets the CRD's minimum load requirement.
CRDs can be installed with a single hot stick, have a 1 ms response time, and significantly reduce fault-finding time. The UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing, vinyl-coated core, and stainless steel spring make CRDs suitable for application in harsh outdoor conditions.
