SEL has created an online hub dedicated to advancing conversations around the cybersecurity of industrial control systems (ICSs) and operational technology (OT). The Cybersecurity Center explores ideas related to improving the inherent safety of critical infrastructure and establishing more robust cybersecurity fundamentals.
The free site provides videos, technical papers, podcast episodes, articles and webinars in one easy-to-access location. These resources offer insight from cybersecurity experts on the psychology of phishing, zero-trust security, attack surface reduction, grid protection, deny-by default methods and more.
“The Cybersecurity Center is a really unique online space,” said Nicholas Seeley, SEL vice president of Infrastructure Defense. “Rather than promoting quick, superficial fixes, it focuses on discovering the fundamental principles of cybersecurity to learn why vulnerabilities exist in the first place and how we, as an industry, can move toward ensuring that critical infrastructure is protected on an intrinsic level. Collectively exploring and defining the underlying science and philosophy of cybersecurity is key to uncovering longer-term, more holistic solutions. The Cybersecurity Center highlights interesting work being done by experts in this space at SEL and across the industry and shares ideas that are aimed at helping fill that knowledge gap and starting those conversations.”
The Cybersecurity Center can be accessed at discover.selinc.com/cybersecurity-center and includes a mailing list subscription option. New material will be released bimonthly.
