New Session of Transmission Pilot Protection SEL University Course
Starting on June 2, 2020, SEL University will host a new session of WBT 103: Transmission Pilot Protection Application of Power Line Carrier—the popular web-based training (WBT). WBT 103 teaches students how to apply power line carrier (PLC) communications in transmission pilot schemes. Some of the topics include coupling the PLC channel to the transmission line, recognizing how frequency affects the channel, calculating the channel’s performance, and mitigating performance issues. This workshop is virtual, consisting of four live instructor-led sessions held over a two-week period. Protection engineers or technicians are encouraged to sign up if they are interested in learning more about power line carrier applications.
