SEL and Juniper Networks improve IT-OT convergence for utilities

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and Juniper Networks are partnering on a combined solution to improve IT-OT convergence for utilities. Working together, SEL and Juniper developed true end-to-end network visibility, management, and control while maintaining the microsecond precision of critical control applications.

The SEL-Juniper solution combines components from each company’s areas of expertise. SEL’s substation-hardened and reliable SEL-2740S SDN Switches, SEL-5056 Software-Defined Network Flow Controller and SEL ICON Integrated Communications Optical Network are integrated with Juniper Networks MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers and advanced software applications to support circuit orchestration and network monitoring. The solution integrates Juniper Event Driven Infrastructure with SEL’s Software-Defined Network Flow controller for simplified and secure management of network infrastructures.
