SEL Finishes Construction of New Health and Wellbeing Center in Lewiston
PULLMAN, Washington—Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories has completed the construction of its new health and wellbeing center in Lewiston, Idaho. The facility, located at 2857 Juniper Drive, is open to SEL employees and their families.
The new 15,460-square-foot facility has space for multiple services, including a medical clinic that provides primary care, physical therapy and mental health services.
A wellbeing center occupies half of the facility’s square footage and features state-of-the-art exercise equipment, as well as offers fitness classes, training and support from SEL wellbeing specialists.
TJ Richardson, a manufacturing supervisor at SEL Lewiston, has already made pre-shift workouts a part of his schedule. “The gym is spacious, high-tech, and makes getting in a workout before work so convenient,” said Richardson. “It’s a great way amp up my natural energy and start my day with a feeling of accomplishment.”
The center serves more than 750 SEL employees who work or reside in the LC Valley and their family members. The new facility replaces the 1,225-square-foot medical clinic that operated in the company’s Lewiston manufacturing facility at 2821 Juniper Drive since 2015.
“The Lewiston Health and Wellbeing Center is a part of our goal to provide our employees with excellent benefits, and it also delivers on our commitment to promote the health and wellness of our employees and their families,” said Stacey Doty, senior vice president of Human Resources.
