This package contains all device drivers and software for SEL-3355-2 computing platforms with Intel Xeon CPUs. Most 64-bit Windows operating systems are fully supported, while some Linux and 32-bit Windows operating systems are only partially supported (no SEL SysMon or Watchdog support). This patch disables link power management, a power conservation function that is known to cause reliability issues with some solid-state drives (SSDs). Link power management provides little power-saving benefit in SEL-3355 computing platforms, and disabling the function has no negative impact on SEL-3355 operation. This patch is only applicable to SEL-3355 computing platforms with Windows operating systems in which the Intel serial ATA (SATA) driver is installed.

This package contains the files necessary to update the BIOS in SEL-3355-2 computing platforms with Intel Xeon CPUs. This update contains a number of security updates, see the included ReleaseNotes.txt file for details.

SEL has combined the relevant Microsoft Security Update software for bulletins that Microsoft rated critical or important into a single downloadable update, Microsoft Windows Security Updates (Security Update 2018). This SEL update includes the relevant Security Updates for bulletins that Microsoft released from January 2018 through January 2019. 

Microsoft announced on January 8, 2019, that it discontinued support for the Windows Embedded Standard operating system. This is the final Microsoft Windows Security Update for the SEL-3354. To receive future security updates, customers must upgrade to a newer operating system.
