Complete bay control and monitoring
This bay control unit offers comprehensive local and remote control of substation bay equipment. The fully integrated, 7-inch color touchscreen interface makes it convenient to locally monitor and control circuit breakers and switches of multiple bays from a single Axion node.
User-friendly configuration software
acSELerator RTAC SEL-5033 Software and its integrated Bay Screen Builder application provide an intuitive interface for designing custom bay screens, configuring the touchscreen, and programming complex automation functions, interlocking schemes, and bypass logic using powerful IEC 61131-3 logic.
Scalable, economical deployments
The modular design of the Axion offers flexible configurations with a range of digital and analog I/O options. Combine multiple Axion nodes to expand I/O and monitor and control over a hundred switching devices across multiple bays—all from one screen.
Flexible communications
A wide range of industry standard protocols, including IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus, allows for dependable communications, remote control and monitoring, and seamless integration into substation automation systems.
Reliable performance
The SEL-2240 Axion delivers dependable control in harsh physical and electrical environments. It has a wide operating temperature range of –40° to +85°C (–40° to +185°F) and a mean time between failures (MTBF) calculated at 2,390 years.
