SEL to Pave Mosher Drive

PULLMAN, Wash. — Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories will begin a project to pave the road on the southeast side of the Stanley E. Zocholl building on its Pullman campus the week of June 22.

The road, Mosher Drive, is currently not a usable roadway, so the Zocholl building’s nearly 320 employees can only enter the parking lot from the single entrance on Schweitzer Drive.

“This project will help alleviate traffic congestion on Schweitzer Drive and provide employees with two points of entry to the Zocholl parking lot,” said Jana Schultheis, director of SEL Property Management. “We’re always excited to make improvements to our campus.”

Mosher Drive begins at Terre View Drive and continues to the northeast, just beyond the Zocholl building. Construction on the two-lane road is expected to be completed this fall. It could eventually continue further north as SEL continues to grow and develop their campus.

The road is named in honor of Washington State University professor Cliff Mosher, who inspired SEL president and founder, Edmund O. Schweitzer, III and many other engineers during their years at the University.

The Zocholl building houses a significant portion of the company’s R&D division, including state-of-the-art lab space for product development and testing.
