Can I view the CBT once I have completed it?

Yes. You will have one year from the date you purchased your CBT to access the material as often as you like. Once successfully completed, the course will open in Review Mode, which means that you can do everything except submit the final knowledge check score.

Can I get a PDF of the CBT?

No. CBTs are highly interactive and rich in multimedia content. There is no way to capture the course within a PDF without removing that content first.

How is the student assessed in an SEL University course?

Currently, all instructor-led SELU courses include informal assessment activities that facilitate student-instructor feedback and skill mastery. By completing hands-on activities and exercises, students can apply their knowledge or practice new skills, and can therefore measure how well they are performing. Student mastery and achievement are also continuously assessed and measured by the instructors who closely monitor student performance, assist, and answer questions during the hands-on exercises.

In absence of an instructor, computer-based training courses require completion of a final knowledge check.

How do I access my course or precourse material?

All course material can be accessed through your mySELU Training page, https://www.selinc.com/seluniversity/mytraining/.

I registered for a course, but it is not listed on the mySELU Training page?

Did you just enroll?
With new mySEL accounts, our various servers need to communicate with each other to verify that there are no other accounts associated with your email address. Due to server sync times, this process could occur quickly, but at its latest, may take up to 48 hours. If the course still does not appear in your mySELU Training page after 48 hours, please contact selu@selinc.com.

Did you pay with a PO?
If you paid with a PO, you must contact selu@selinc.com with your purchasing information before the course will appear in your mySELU Training page.

When should I access my course?

WBTs are live scheduled events, and will only be available starting 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

Will I have access to the slides to print beforehand?

Day one course slides will be provided during the test session, typically scheduled a week before the course. The test session can be accessed through the mySELU Training page.

May I have a recording of my WBT?

Sorry, at this time, WBT recordings are not made available to students.

Where do I find the scheduled times for WBTs?

You can find the time on the Course Overview page, in the “Available Courses” box. Look for the date of your course, and click the “More” button to expand the additional details. If you have already registered, the time will be shown (in Pacific Time) on your mySELU Training page.

How do I participate in a WBT from my tablet?

Most tablets are compatible with the web conferencing software used to present our WBTs. However, videos played during the course will not play without the Adobe Flash plugin. I can view the WBT slides, but none of the videos are loading.

Any videos played within a WBT are Flash-based. Some browsers like Safari or mobile devices block Flash content. Currently, presentation slides will display without a Flash player, but any videos or animations require Flash to function. Try watching the WBT from a desktop using a different browser like Internet Explorer or Chrome, and checking that you have the latest version of Flash installed on your computer.

I have installed Flash, but I’m still having problems loading videos.

Some browsers require users to enable the Flash plugin before allowing it to run. If you have downloaded the Flash plugin, but still cannot get a video to run, try following the steps to enable Flash within your browser.

Are any discounts offered for courses?

Yes. Register for a scheduled paired course and/or for consecutive courses within 7 days of each other and save 10 percent.

May I reserve a spot in a course while I work out the paperwork on my end?

Sorry, we do not reserve spots in any course without payment information. Either a credit card or a purchase order (PO) must be used. If using a PO, it must be provided before the registration can be processed.

May I sign someone else up for a CBT or WBT (eLearning)?

No. The person who will access the eLearning must be the one who registers for the course. The training is available only through an individual’s mySEL account.

How can I pay for training?

SEL accepts payment by credit card, check, or purchase order. A copy of the PO must be provided for our records, as well as billing purposes, before the registration can be processed.

What if my company only pays by check, and doesn't issue purchase orders?

You may mail your registration form and the check to SELU. However, all courses are filled on a first come, first served basis, and registration is not guaranteed with this much slower form of payment. If the course is full, we will contact you with additional options.

The course I want to register for is full, do you have a waiting list?

Yes. Contact selu@selinc.com if you would like to be placed on a course’s waiting list. There is no guarantee that you will be enrolled into the course, however. Inquire into our On-Demand Training to schedule an SELU course in a time and location that meets your needs.
