Electrostatic Reset

ERL Fault Indicators are powered by the electric field potential gradient induced by an energized high-voltage power line. The ERL displays a faulted line condition by showing a large reflective red target. The red target remains visible until after the line is re-energized.

ERLs can be installed on energized lines using a single hot stick. The hermetically sealed UV-stabilized housing and stainless steel clamp make the ERL tough enough to handle harsh outdoor environments.

The inrush restraint feature prevents false tripping during recloser operations, and the unit automatically resets upon restoration of system voltage.
