Co-founder and CEO

Peter Godart, Ph.D., is the co-founder and CEO of 

 a Massachusetts Institute of Technology spinout commercializing technology that turns aluminum into fuel for generating low-cost, clean hydrogen on demand. 

Peter holds bachelor's degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering, and a master's and doctorate in mechanical engineering, all from MIT. After earning his undergraduate degrees in 2015, he spent two years as a research scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he worked on daily operations for the Mars Science Laboratory (Curiosity), qualified hardware for the Mars 2020 rover (Perseverance), and led a research team exploring aluminum-based fuel for potential Europa lander applications.

For his doctoral work, he developed new methods for extracting energy from aluminum waste to power electricity generation and seawater desalination in the aftermath of natural disasters—research that laid the foundation for Found Energy. 

He is also an educator and writer. His first book,
