SEL Promotes Five Employees to Vice President
PULLMAN, Washington—Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) has promoted five employees to the level of vice president (VP). The employees, Adina Bielenberg, Adrian Genz, Erik Newman, Jessi Hall and Travis Mooney, have worked at SEL for over a decade.
“We’re fortunate to have leaders that have grown with the company,” said Dave Whitehead SEL Chief Executive Officer. “Adina, Adrian, Erik, Jessi and Travis know SEL from the inside out and are experts in their fields. I’m excited to watch them excel in their new roles and continue to inspire, innovate and improve.”
As VP of Corporate Affairs, Adina Bielenberg will provide strategic direction to the Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Guest Services teams at SEL. Adina started at the company in 2004 as an administrative assistant and has held a variety of roles, including conference and trade show coordinator, public affairs manager and chief of staff. Most recently, she served as senior corporate director in the Office of the President—duties she will continue in her new role.
Adrian Genz, now VP of Quality, started as an engineering intern at SEL in 2001. After completing his internship in 2003, he returned to SEL four years later as a full-time associate hardware engineer. In 2018, he joined the Quality group and became its director in 2020. As VP of Quality, Adrian will expand his leadership to include the SEL Manufacturing Quality Assurance team.
Erik Newman will lead the SEL University technical training team in his new role as VP of Business. He joined SEL in 2000 as a finance manager and has helped develop many new SEL teams, including those focused on bringing manufacturing components closer to company headquarters, increasing healthcare transparency, introducing SEL products to underserved markets and more.
In her new role as VP of Vertical Integration, Jessi Hall will continue to focus on the SEL Printed Circuit Board Factory at Schwartz Campus and lead the production, engineering and support activities for all SEL U.S.-based vertical integration teams. Jessi has held a variety of engineering and leadership roles since the start of her SEL career in 2011.
Travis Mooney, now VP of Research & Development, will lead cross-functional teams focused on product improvement. Travis started with SEL in 1995 and has helped design and develop a wide range of products, including the SEL-700 series product line and meters. In addition, he has spent the last several years helping the company secure a strong supply chain amidst global challenges.
