SEL powerMAX Power Management and Control System for industrial applications (Part 1)

SEL powerMAX Power Management and Control System for industrial applications (Part 1)

SEL powerMAX prevents blackouts and keeps critical processes online using advanced protection and control technologies.

On December 9, 2020, SEL engineers will present the first webinar in a two-part series about how SEL powerMAX works. This first part will cover the architecture of a typical powerMAX system and demonstrate various powerMAX advanced load-shedding techniques. Additionally, the webinar will examine control hardware-in-the-loop system testing and universal power flow simulation as it relates to system validation—and how they can streamline commissioning and ensure reliable performance.

Part 2 of the webinar series will focus on automatic generation control and voltage control systems as they pertain to load sharing, motor starts, automatic synchronization and tie flow control. It will also look at generator shedding and runback—how they work and which option offers optimum results. Part 2 of the series will be held in the first quarter of 2021.

Register for Part 1 of the webinar series now.
