SEL University is releasing an online version of their popular PROT 401: Protecting Power Systems for Engineers course, ePROT 401. 

The course will include lecture recordings from a live class with self-check questions added throughout. Students will also be given exercises to complete on their own time. And if students have questions, they can email SEL University and will be connected to an instructor.

This course is tailored for engineers who are interested in solving the challenges of electrical power systems. ePROT 401 provides an overview of the principles and schemes for protecting power lines, transformers, buses, generators, and motors and introduces the fundamentals of wide-area protection. Students will learn the basic guidelines for relay application and settings calculation and instrument transformers.
