Webinar: SEL-T400L Real-World Field Performance

On April 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific), SEL engineers shared how the SEL-T400L responds to real-world events during a data-driven webinar.

Senior Product Sales Manager Richard Kirby and Lead Product Engineer Greg Smelich provided insights into the analysis of traveling-wave events, discussed the operation of time-domain protection, and explained how to perform traveling-wave-based fault locating. They also shared details on an upcoming feature: continuous line-monitoring to detect incipient events, which helps utilities prevent faults and offers significant improvements to system reliability.

The webinar closed with a preview of the SEL-T401L Ultra-High-Speed Line Relay. Due for release later this year, the SEL-T401L expands on the proven platform of the SEL-T400L with built-in phasor-based line protection, additional I/O, additional MHz voltages, and SELogic control equations.

Watch the webinar to learn more about the features and field performance of these devices.
