With nonsinusoidal loads and sources becoming more common in modern electrical power systems, reliable and accurate energy metering is more important than ever. SEL metering experts presented a webinar on metering under all power system conditions on March 28.

SEL engineers discussed real-world conditions that affect energy metering accuracy and how advanced, revenue-grade meters respond to these conditions. They also discussed the importance of the accuracy specifications defined in revenue-metering standards and recent additions to the ANSI C12.20 revenue-metering standard.
