Industrial Ethernet Book (IEB) has published the white paper “Purpose-Engineered, Active-Defense Cybersecurity for Industrial Control Systems” authored by Rhett Smith of SEL and Roger Hill of Veracity Industrial Networks.

The IEB article outlines the distinct advantages that OT SDN brings to Ethernet-based industrial control systems: dramatically improved packet delivery performance under normal and fault event conditions, greater cybersecurity without added complexity, centralized situational awareness and disruptionless change control that enables safe scalability.

IEB is the only internationally distributed journal dedicated to industrial Ethernet and wireless technologies as used in the manufacturing industries (process and discrete). IEB is based in Germany and has over 6,000 readers in Europe and another 6,000 in North America.
